The Tesla Semi Order Floodgates Just Opened Here's Every Major Announcement
Something shifted at ACT Expo in Las Vegas this week. It wasn't one announcement it was four of them landing inside 48 hours. WattEV ordering 370 Tesla Semis. Big F Transport putting 40 on order after a single demo. NICA Container Freight Line committing to 20 trucks for port operations across California and Texas. MDB Transportation launching a port drayage pilot. The tipping point for electric commercial trucking isn't coming it's here. And TeslaSemi.com will be tracking every order, every fleet, and every new Megacharger hub as this rolls out.
WattEV Orders 370 Tesla Semis The Largest Single Electric Truck Deployment in California History
WattEV CEO Salim Youssefzadeh made the announcement at ACT Expo: his company is deploying 370 Tesla Semi trucks roughly $100 million worth of electric Class 8 freight capacity making it the single largest electric truck deployment in California history. The first 50 Semis deliver in 2026, with the full fleet operational by end of 2027.
"We selected the Tesla Semi based on cost, performance and availability after issuing a public request for proposals," Youssefzadeh said. That's not brand loyalty that's procurement. The Semi won a competitive bid.
More than 300 of those trucks will run under a joint program with the Port of Oakland one of the busiest container ports on the West Coast. WattEV's model bundles vehicle deployment, Megawatt charging infrastructure, and full-service leasing into one package, giving carriers a zero-capital-risk path to electrification.
Four New Tesla Semi Megacharger Hubs Coming to California Oakland, Fresno, Stockton, Sacramento
The WattEV deployment comes with serious infrastructure. New Megawatt Charging System hubs are planned for:
- Port of Oakland — opening alongside the first 50 Semi deliveries in 2026
Fresno — MCS-equipped, opening in 2026
Stockton — depot opening this year
Sacramento — breaking ground in 2026
Each hub is equipped with Tesla's Megawatt Charging System, capable of delivering 300 miles of range in approximately 30 minutes roughly the same time as a conventional diesel fill-up. We're adding all confirmed locations to our

Big F Transport had been running 9 eCascadias out of the Port of Long Beach. They brought in a Tesla Semi for a demo. They immediately ordered40 more. That's the whole story and it's the story every fleet operator in the country is going to hear from someone they trust.
The feedback from drivers and management lines up with what every other pilot operator has reported: drivers love the smooth quiet ride, shippers are hitting their Scope 3 emission targets, and CFOs are locking in a meaningfully better total cost of ownership compared to diesel. Big F and NICA will both operate out of Forum Mobility's upcoming depot under development in Rancho Dominguez, with Tesla Semi leases and MCS charging access locked in at a significant discount to diesel operating costs.
NICA Container Freight Line Commits to 20 Tesla Semis for Port Operations
NICA Container Freight Line a family-owned company serving the Ports of Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Houston is ordering 20 Tesla Semis, slated to be fully operational by early 2027. "We want to invest in advanced technology. We're excited to grow our business with these awesome new zero emission trucks," said CEO Jacky Lopez. Port drayage container moves from port to distribution center is one of the highest-cycle, highest-emissions use cases in freight. It's also exactly where the Semi's operating economics are most brutal for diesel.
