Electric semi truck cabs cut the mechanical grind. Every pilot program keeps reporting the same notes: quieter, no clutch workout, center seat with better visibility, less physically cooked at the end of the shift. Tesla's Semi team has said they chased NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) specifically because ten hours in that cab is the job not a side effect of it.
A planned Megacharger stop can be a real break instead of a panic idle. Drop-trailer and power-only work pulls the driver off a dead dock. Short-haul California lanes can mean home more often. Autonomy, when it arrives on the Semi, changes the job again but that's still future tense.
What it doesn't do: add legal hours. A quiet cab isn't extra clock. A dead public stall is still a stranded human. The honest claim is the cab is easier on the body if dispatch designed the day.

The strategy holds only if production, chargers, and software stay on the same calendar. One of those slipping is how electric freight becomes a press release again.
Tesla's goal, stripped of everything: move freight on electrons at a cost and a schedule a fleet will sign. TCO the CFO can defend. A quieter day for the person in the seat. A network that can change its mind when reality moves faster than the forecast.
