Tesla Semi Is Coming to Canada for the First Time at Truck World 2026

Despite years of interest from Canadian fleet operators, the Tesla Semi has never been seen in person north of the border. That changes in April. The Class 8 electric truck is making its Canadian display debut at Truck World 2026, running April 16–18 at The International Centre, 6900 Airport Road in Mississauga, Ontario. It's the first time Canadian fleet buyers and industry decision-makers will get a real look at the truck and Tesla is picking exactly the right room to show up in.

A VIP Stop at Tesla Vaughan Comes First

Before hitting the show floor, the Semi makes an exclusive stop at Tesla Vaughan (2 Chrislea Rd) for a private VIP event organized by Tesla Club TO. It was the first opportunity for Canadian Tesla owners to see the truck up close on home soil. Registration filled up fast capacity was reached and the event is now closed to new registrants.

Why This Canadian Debut Actually Matters for the Tesla Semi

Truck World isn't a consumer auto show. It draws trucking executives, fleet operators, suppliers, and government stakeholders exactly the decision-makers Tesla needs in front of as it prepares to ramp mass production at its Nevada facility in 2026. Canada has been watching the Semi pilot programs in the U.S. closely, and interest in electrifying freight north of the border is real even as infrastructure, upfront costs, and vehicle availability remain the main sticking points.

Showing up at Truck World puts the Semi in the same conversation as the fleets that will actually buy it. That's the point.
